Most of what leaves this atelier began as a conversation.

People arrive with all sorts of things. A drawing. A photograph. An object they are attached to, or the gold from a piece they never wear. And very often with nothing in their hands at all — only an experience they want to keep. A moment, a change, a promise, something they want sealed into a form they can carry with them.

That is enough to begin with. Most of my commissions start from nothing but a story told out loud.

My work starts there, in the listening: what the piece is for, what it has to hold, who will wear it every day and how. Only afterwards does it go to the bench, where the idea turns into metal — and where old gold, when there is any, goes into the crucible and comes out as something else entirely. That part is not a metaphor.

Our bespoke jewellery is a celebration of authenticity, a testament to your unique identity.

How it works

1. The first conversation — free

By video call, or here in the atelier in Via San Giovanni 13r. We talk about what you have in mind, what you have with you, if anything, and whether it can be done. No obligation, and no cost.

2. The first sketch — free

After we have talked, I draw an indicative sketch. You get to see the idea outside your own head before deciding anything at all.

3. The quote

If the sketch is right, I prepare a dedicated quote: metals and their purity, stones, dimensions, timing, price. Nothing begins until you have agreed to it.

4. Drawings and renderings

Once the quote is confirmed, the work moves on to preparatory drawings and, where it helps, to graphic renderings — so that you can see the piece from every side before any metal is cut.

5. The making

Two to five weeks, depending on the piece and on what is already on the bench.

• a photograph, of a piece or of anything at all
• an object you already own, to be reworked
• gold or stones from something you no longer wear

Or nothing at all. Many pieces start from zero: no drawing, no metal, only a conversation.

On the price

Silver and gold are both quoted daily, and the price of a commission follows the market at the time the piece is made. I confirm the figure with you before starting, and it does not move afterwards.

Personalised and made-to-measure pieces are excluded from the right of withdrawal, which is exactly why the design and the price are agreed with you first, and never after.
